There’s a maxim that says it takes a community to raise a child.
Against this background, the BSiN team was called upon by the Principal of Christ Divine Favour College, Yaba- Lagos, to sensitize the students on:
– The dangers of child and drug abuse.

-How to deal with peer bullies.

-The need to shun stigma and break the culture of silence by reporting abused cases.

-How to recognize glooming signs and communicate to a trusted adult.

– Secrecy of silence as it protects the perpetrators and not the victims. So many children died because they failed to disclose abuse cases.

Often, the perpetrators use threats to silence their victims but they should be courageous enough never to stay silent.

Break The Silence Initiative Nigeria, BSiN, is a non-governmental organization committed to deterring all forms of child and drug abuse in society.
